About IQAC
As per UGC and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines MSBECL has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 26/12/2026. As a post-accreditation quality upkeep measure, the MSBECL IQAC plays a key role towards enhancement of quality education and sustenance.
MSBECL was accredited by NAAC in 2018 for the first cycle with B+ grade and in 2024 for the second cycle with B grade. MSBECL IQAC continued to strive for the betterment of the overall performance of the institute.
IQAC – Vision
To ensure quality culture as the prime concern for MSBECL, through institutionalizing and internalizing all the initiatives taken with internal and external support.
Objective of IQAC
The prime Objective of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution, facilitate internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
Functions of IQAC
Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:
a) Development and application of quality benchmarks
b) Parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution;
c) Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;
d) Collection and analysis of feedback from all stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;
d) Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders;
e) Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
f) Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement;
g) Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices;
h) Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality;
i) Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up
j) Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
Roles and Responsibilities
- The MSBECL IQAC has been an important part of the institution and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The IQAC shall meet thrice in a year to review and suggest the actions and improvements on following
- Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution catering to the requirements of NBA, NAAC, NIRF, Autonomy, and Ranking agencies
- Gathering the updated information on rules, guidelines, procedures, manuals and dissemination of the same to all the stakeholders
- Organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles and enhance the awareness amongst all the stakeholders
- Guiding all the concerned and coordinating in laying down the procedures, processes for compliance of accreditation and ranking agencies
- Acting as nodal agency and facilitation of all the activities including timely submission of AQAR, AAA, SSR, SAR, NIRF, Ranking Data, and all the related documents to comply with accreditation and ranking processes
- Any other work assigned by authorities related to accreditation, ranking and autonomy on time to time basis.
Organisation of IQAC and Working:
- Under the guidance of chairman IQAC (Principal), the coordinator along with Joint coordinator IQAC and Academic head form the cell by following the guidelines provided for the composition.
- The cell members are from within and outside institution
- Quality assurance strategies and processes are evolved through IQAC meetings
- Implementation of the strategies and policies is undertaken by HOD’s/ Section Incharge
- Academic monitoring and review is carried out by Academic head in consultation with Principal
- IQAC facilitates all the quality related Assessments/ Accreditations/ Audits for the Institutions
- Provides overall guidelines for achieving compliance/incremental improvements in various activities related to student, faculty and staff development
Significant contributions made by IQAC during the Academic year: 2018- 19 to 2022-23
2018-19
- Regular meetings with HOD’s are initiated to formulate the action plan.
- Implementation of action plans are reviewed in the subsequent meetings.
- Audit to monitor and ensure the quality of student’s activities, department activities and staff members for periodic assessment for timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic task.
- Successfully faced the NAAC Cycle I PEER Committee and received B+ Grade.
2019-20
- Attention given to slow learners and absenteeism, extra lectures provided for late laterally admitted students
- Many faculty members attended FDPs.
- Improvement in student placement due to conduct soft skills and domain specific trainings
- Promoted internships culture among the students
2020-21
- Promoted the faculty for adopting advanced ICT based learning tools for effective teaching.
- Due onset of pandemic innovative methods are developed/used for teaching and learning process such as : Online lectures through Zoom, Google meet etc. , NPTEL videos , Online tutorials, Online Practice test, Online Labs, IIT Bombay virtual Lab, Digital Library, Coursera courses, Google Classroom
- Organized Special drive for green initiative namely “One person - One Tree ".
- Organized Yoga and meditation program for improving mental stability and reducing anxiety, stress and depression.
- For Improving Placements for Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Students, arranged special software training courses for non IT branch students. This resulted in placement of these students in IT industry in large numbers.
2022 23
- Student involvement for quality enrichment via student associations and alumni interactions
- Proper schedule for internal academic audit.
- As per AICTE norms established the Institutions Innovation and Council committee.
- Prepared the road map for training and placement activities.
- Standardization of different academic processes, formats for various feedback , academic calendar , result analysis etc. were prepared and implemented
- Webinar on IPR was conducted by expert, innovation and startup week was celebrated. Project Exhibition Department level project exhibition were conducted.
2022-23
- Collaboration with SGGSE and T, Nanded as mentee institute
- Encouraged faculty members to attend and work as resource persons for FDP
- Initiated a process of designing a perspective plan at department level for development of student and faculty and monitoring the progress
- Emphasis is given to sign MOU’s for training and placement of students
- Asked HOD’s to organise the technical training programs/seminars/ workshops from industry experts at department level, industry visits etc.
- Conducted external academic audit
- Prepared IIQA and SSR for NAAC cycle II got it approved
2024-25
- Continued a process of designing a perspective plan at department level for development of student and faculty and monitoring the progress
- Submitted DVV for SSR of NAAC cycle II and cleared prequalifier for PT visit
- Incorporated all the processes of IQAC/ Academic Incharge for newly started courses/ programs for AY 2024-25
- Prepared a list of general recommendations and list of things to do for infrastructure development, green initiatives, energy and water conservation
- Provided a Holistic approach for overall devlopemnt of students and progress of institution
- Prepared for NAAC peer team visit with the help of faculty and staff for criteria wise documentations, compliances etc.
- Successfully faced the NAAC Cycle I PEER Committee and received B Grade
